abstract = {Tenascin-C is an extracellular matrix glycoprotein with a dynamic and restricted distribution during organ development and in disease. Tenascin-C is up-regulated in response to several pathological conditions, including cancer, and a number of studies have implicated it in the regulation of glioma cell migration, invasion and angiogenesis. In a recent article published in the journal Cancer Research, Sarkar and colleagues present evidence indicating that Tenascin-C can also sustain proliferation of brain tumor initiating cells by promoting expression of the Notch ligand Jagged1 (1).},
